I began working at WHS as the library media specialist and journalism teacher in 2011.
Before coming to Westside, I taught English and journalism at Trumann High School for seven years and at England High School in England, AR for one year.
I married Josh Parks, one of the ag teachers at Westside, in 2008. I have two step-sons, one at the high school and one at the middle school, and one son at the elementary. We have two goats, three cats, and one dog.
In addition to working at Westside, I teach group fitness classes at the Trim Gym in Jonesboro. I am a member of Central Baptist Church. While I spend most of my “free time” taking care of my family and home, I enjoy traveling and reading. I have visited all fifty states (although Oregon is debatable), as well as thirteen countries and counting.
