Congratulations to Sascha Adams, Gennafer Sampley, Kelsie Cobb, and Layla Hines for making the Junior High All-Region Choir! They spent the day rehearsing with the choir and ended the day with a concert at ASU Fowler Center.

The Westside chapter of National Honor Society will be selling purple ribbons at the football game tonight to raise awareness about pancreatic cancer. They will be set up near the concession stand. Please drop by and show your support.

Mr. White and Mr. Carter from the Jonesboro Fire Department were today’s speakers for Career Lunch and Learn. The fireman hats were a hit even with our big kids! We really appreciate them taking time out of their busy schedules to come work with our students.



Friday is the last day for Early Registration for the Baseball Skills Camp. Participants can register at the gate also! Camp is this Saturday, 11/4 with 3rd -5th grade 8-11am/ 6th-8th grade 1-4pm.

They were promoting the Terri Tyner Memorial Blood Drive, which is Wednesday, November 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. It will be in the high school library. Basketball Season is upon us, Warriors! Monday, November 6th will begin the season for both Warrior basketball teams. ❤🤍🏀
The Lady Warriors are scheduled to play at Pocahontas next week in a tournament.
The Warrior basketball team will jumpstart their schedule with the Red/White & Alumni Games & BBQ Dinner Fundraiser all starting at 4pm on Monday, November 6th! Be sure to join the Warriors in all the fun!

The Curious Savage by John Patrick will be performed at the Westside High School Fine Arts Center, November 10th &11th at 7:00pm. and Nov. 12th at 2:00pm. Admission is $3.00 for Students and $5.00 for Adults which can be purchased at the door on the dates of the performances.
This 3 act comedy has delightful twists involving a widow who inherited millions of dollars from her husband and wants to use the money to help others realize their hopes and dreams. Her grownup stepchildren want the money for themselves and commit the widow to a "sanatorium" hoping to "bring her to her senses." Instead, the widow leads the self-serving stepchildren on a hilarious chase for the inheritance, while befriending the charming "guests" of the sanatorium.

During Red Ribbon Week at WHS, RAAD (Rise Above Alcohol & Drugs), Out of the Dark, and Project Prevent are hosting Prevention Lunch and Learns for our high school students. Here Shamal Carter and Shaina Doherty are presenting on the dangers of vaping and holding some deep conversations about real life temptations and consequences.
