Westside High School had to "pay up" this morning to our students who had qualifying scores on the 23-24 Advanced Placement tests. The deal was made last year to incentivize AP test by giving $100 for every 3+ qualifying score made. We had 36 qualifying scores received by 27 students. This is the highest number in the last 5 years! We are super proud to pay out $3,600 those students. Pictured are the students who are still Westside High School students. We also have 14 others from the Class of 2024 who will be receiving their incentive as well. Congratulations to all and we look for a bigger group next year!!!

As per AAA requirements, due to excessive heat and wet bulb readings, there will be no after school Jr high football practice today or Friday.

While it was delayed due to the weather this morning, it was great to have our students back together again in the FAC at WHS!!! Great first day back at WHS.

Dear Westside High School Parents, We are reaching out to inform you of a significant change in our school policy regarding student cell phone use during school hours. Starting immediately, students will **NOT be allowed to have cell phones in the classroom** under any circumstances. This change is intended to create a more focused and productive learning environment for all students and is part of a greater initiative at the state level. Students will receive more information on this when we return to school tomorrow. **Student Use of Cell Phone Policy (WHS):** - Students may use their cell phones before school begins, between classes, and during their lunch period. - Cell phones will not be used in the classrooms. They must be turned off or put on silent and are to be put away as the student enters the classroom. - Confiscated cell phones will require parent pick up an other possible disciplinary actions.
