WHS parents, The solar eclipse is just a week away! This is something that may be a once in a lifetime event for our students. This week, our core curriculum teams will be integrating this phenomenon in their teaching concepts. On "Eclipse Day," students who are on campus will receive solar viewing glasses and will have the opportunity to see the eclipse outside with our teachers. This is a very educational opportunity that the United States will see again until August 23, 2044. Whether students view from school or from another location, this is a true educational opportunity they will not want to miss! Congratulations, Sophie Sheets! WHS is proud to announce that Sophie has triumphed in this year's Pi Day Challenge by reciting a whopping 70 digits of pi! 🙌🔢 Her impressive achievement has earned her a well-deserved reward of $70.00! Each year, Westside students dive into exciting Pi Day activities in their math classes, and Sophie has truly risen to the occasion with her extraordinary memory and mathematics. Important Bus Route Information: Westside will be running two double routes this afternoon, Thursday, March 14th, which will cause bus 79 (Zebra) and bus 73 (Baseball) to be running approximately 1 hour late dropping off students.
