NEACTC wins 15th annual NEA Weldathon
The Northeast Arkansas Career and Technical Center in Jonesboro took first place in the 15th annual Northeast Arkansas Weldathon held Feb. 22 on the Jonesboro campus of Arkansas State University-Newport hosted at its Jonesboro campus. Students in Grades 8, 9, and 10 will be taking the ATLAS Summative ELA Writing test this Friday, March 8th. This test is a part of the new ATLAS state-mandated test and will measure our students' progress towards meeting educational standards. Today in Ms. Black's World History classes, ASU student teacher Intern J. Swillum hosted a small interactive WWI Museum and then led students in a WWI Trench Warfare reenactment complete with early gas masks.
Mrs. Lana Fischer from NEA Baptist came to speak to our students about the field of radiology today. We really appreciate her taking time out of her busy schedule to meet with our students!

WHS AFJROTC Cadets packed meals at the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas on Tuesday 2/20/24. They packed 21,998 meals!

Congratulations to our Boy’s basketball team for their BIG WIN tonight in the first round of the Regional Tournament. They will now play at 5:30 on Friday night against the winner of Brookland and Clinton. This win also puts them in the State Tournament next week. Great job guys!!!
