At the present time, the hwy on 91 W is opened back up with normal traffic flow. Expect possible delays as the electric crew continues to work on the problematic area.

Due to an issue with an electrical pole by the bus shop, the fire department has rerouted traffic. No traffic is being aloud to go around the curve on 91. Traffic cannot go towards 226 from 91 west. Traffic is being routed through the high school area.

Congratulations to the Ladies Choir, Concert Choir, and Select Mixed Ensemble for their wonderful performances at State today! All the choirs received Superior ratings and Sweepstakes Awards!

Families,
Check out the latest Capturing Kids' Hearts Newsletter. This month's theme is "Perseverance."
What is Perseverance?
Perseverance is the willingness and ability to keep going when things are tough. People who persevere show steadfastness and give the extra effort needed to do something despite how hard it is or how long it takes to reach the goal.
Why focus on Perseverance?
Perseverance encourages positive self-talk and thinking. When faced with difficult tasks, perseverance helps students reframe with positive thoughts, such as: "I'm not good at this YET!"
Perseverance develops empathy. Students gain a better understanding of who they are and develop more empathy and compassion for others who may struggle to reach a goal.
Perseverance sparks personal growth. Pushing through complex tasks builds resilience and helps students discover how capable they are.
Perseverance in Action:
Share stories and challenging experiences. Be vulnerable and share personal experiences when you have struggled with a task or concept and had to work hard to push through.
Praise effort and process, not intelligence or performance. Affirm students for the process they used to tackle tasks and point out how their abilities grow through their own hard work.
Give your students the chance to struggle. Struggle builds self-confidence, independence, and perseverance. Resist the urge to intervene immediately and give students time to figure it out.

Warrior Nation,
As the weather for this afternoon threatens to get nasty right at dismissal time, please read the following regarding dismissal today. All buses will be held for 30 minutes in an attempt to let the weather blow through. That means elementary students will load at 3:40 with the middle school and high school to follow. Parents, that means your students riding buses will be arriving home at least 30 minutes later than normal. We will be dismissing students with parents upon their arrival in the car rider lines at the elementary and middle school. Student drivers at the high school will be released at 2:25 in an attempt to beat the weather. All other high school students will remain on campus until bus release time unless a parent is here at the high school office to check them out.

The mandatory athletic parent meeting today at 5:30 p.m. has been rescheduled for Wednesday, April, 6th at 5:30 - 6:00 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center.

Warrior Nation,
As many of you know, we are expecting a weather episode this afternoon around the time of dismissal. Please know that we are watching the weather closely and will take any steps necessary to ensure the safety of our students and staff. Those steps could include placing the students and staff in our on-campus storm shelters or holding dismissal a few minutes later than normal as we wait for the weather to pass us by, should the need arise. Please pay attention to Facebook posts, text messages, and the school website for further details as the afternoon progresses.
