Learning made FUN at WHS!!! Friday in AP Biology, Mrs. Smith asked Mrs.Crow's Chem 2 class to come help demonstrate primary and tertiary polypeptide(protein) structure. Each student was a different amino acid, and they had to link arms to form the polypeptide chain, representing the primary structure. Then, based on their individual amino acid properties, they had to "fold" to represent the interactions that form the 3-dimensional tertiary structure, or the globular protein.

The students were actively engaged, competing to identify the correct angle relationships first! The excitement was high as teams raced for points, and in the end, the Blue Team came out on top! 🎉 It’s great to see our students learning and having fun at the same time. Go Blue Team!
