Baseball/Softball Regional Tournament Update: AAA has moved Thursday's games to Maumelle High School, 100 Victory Lane, Maumell, AR 72113. Warrior Baseball will play at 10:00 a.m. and Warrior Softball will play at 12:30 p.m. There will be no concessions and coolers will be allowed. Ticket procedures will remain the same at https://gofan.co/app/school/AR4693 online ticket purchase only, $7 per person.

Parents and Guardians of current 8th-11th grade students are invited to attend an informational meeting on Monday, May 6th in the WHS Fine Arts Center. We will be discussing the importance of Student Success Plans, community service hours, and class opportunities for the 2024-2025 school year. The 8th and 9th grade session will begin at 6pm, and the 10th and 11th grade session will begin at 7pm. This meeting is not mandatory but will provide parents and guardians a better understanding of high school graduation requirements.

🎉 WHS FFA Students attended the 2024 Arkansas State FFA Convention this week and raked in several awards! 🌟 Ashlee Henderson has been selected as the nominee for state FFA president – what an outstanding achievement! 🎖️ Millie Staib proudly accepted the National Chapter Award on behalf of our Westside chapter – way to go, Millie! 🏆 Emily Harris also received recognition for participating in the state FFA for FFS program – congratulations, Emily! 🌟 And let's hear it for Rylee Lemley for earning her state degree and securing 2nd place in state for Extemporaneous Speaking – remarkable work, Rylee! From WHS: This is a reminder that students in Grades 8-10 will be taking the ATLAS ELA Reading test tomorrow morning. 8th Grade will continue ATLAS testing this week with the Math 8 test on Thursday and the Science 8 test on Friday. We need these students to arrive at school on time each day, so they can test with their class and not get checked out until their test is complete. Thank you!

This weekend the "Westside Big Band" performed at the ARJE State Jazz Festival held at Nettleton High School. The band received superior ratings, and the judges selected Kelsie Cobb and Carson Brinkley as outstanding soloists from the group. The band is made up of 7-12 grade students and has only met once a week after school leading up to the festival! Great job, Warriors! ❤🤍
