Important Bus Route Information: Westside will be running two double routes this afternoon, Thursday, March 14th, which will cause bus 79 (Zebra) and bus 73 (Baseball) to be running approximately 1 hour late dropping off students.
Warrior Athletics Update: All games for today, Thursday, March 14th, have been canceled. This includes soccer, softball, baseball, and track.
Warrior Softball & Baseball games AT Highland have been moved to a 3:30 start time playing Varsity games only.
Dr. Whitney Holden from ASMSA came and led a lab for my AP Biology students on Monday!!! They participated in the PGLO bacterial transformation lab. Students are analyzing the uptake of the green flourescent protein (PGlo) plasmid into E.Coli bacteria under various petri dish conditions. Thanks for spending your day with us Dr. Holden!

The 3rd Annual WHS Prom Pop Up Shop and Bake Sale will take place on Saturday March 9 from 10am - 5pm in the Westside High School Library.
•Short and Long Formal dresses will be available for purchase.
•Dresses can still be entered during school hours or until 6pm on Friday. The cost is $10 per dress and you set the price.
•The proceeds will benefit the Buy A Bed, Give a Bed Program through Gambill’s Furniture.
•Event is put on by Westside Children’s Volunteer Club and Student Council
•3rd year for the event. We were able to raise enough money from the previous 2 events to donate 30 mattresses to foster care.
•If you don’t need a dress but like to eat, then come out for coffee, burgers, bbq, and homemade goods. We will have a bake sale and food trucks from H2Que and Good Eaton’s with the Wombles.
•Another way to support the cause is to make a donation or purchase a chance to win gift certificates. We appreciate J and N BBQ and Vaughn's Pit Stop for their donations.
